Amber

Ancient beliefs about the energies of stones and their methods of use have been applied to the understanding of Amber:

AMBER has always been revered by Eastern and Native American Indians as sacred.

This gift from Nature was used by ancient tribal healers in fire ceremonies.

Amber is said to absorb negative energies so that they cannot reach the wearer (wards off negativity). A personal exercise that I have used is to look deep into the amber in a quiet moment, prior to any situation where I know I may be confronted with negative energies, and "ask" the Amber to shield me. Afterwards, I smudge the Amber to release the negative energies from the Amber and send them "into the Light".

Ancient belief about Amber: helps to bring about that which one wants in life (manifestation).

Amber is a symbol for renewed marriage vows, and can be used to assure promises.

Amber is said to help us to make choices and to be chosen.

Amber is said to vibrate especially well with the Astrological signs of Leo & Aquarius, and is listed as the Star Sign Stone for Taurus. It also vibrates well with the number 3.

I have no medical evidence to substantiate the correlation between wearing this stone and the effects it will have on the wearer. The mystical healing properties offered above were partially paraphrased from one of a series of Melody's books in the LOVE IS IN THE EARTH series. Melody suggests that the metaphysical properties listed for each stone will have these effects on the wearer WHILE he/she concentrates on the desired outcome. The author further states that this is NOT a substitute for consulting your physician; and I agree. When I wear any of my stones or crystals, I feel empowered by them. Maybe it's just because I WEAR them with specific intentions -- it works because I told my mind it would, OR does it work because of the molecular interaction between my body and the stones/crystals? I don't know. All I know is it seems to work FOR ME.
