Larimar
Larimar Stone (also known as blue Pectolite) typically has varying delicate sky blue or sea foam green patterns and hues mixed with white, and sometimes red or black or brownish tones; and is ONLY found in the Caribbean, in the Dominican Republic (scientific name: Pectolite). The man who discovered it named it after his daughter Larisa, and after the sea (Mar); hence, Lari'mar, Larimar. It is such a lovely stone, one of my favorites!

On a personal note, I'd like to share some of my meditative insights about Larimar Stone. It makes me wonder just knowing that something so peaceful-looking was created as a result of volcanic activity. When holding or wearing Larimar Stone, I get an awesome sense of déjà vu which leads me to believe that current events happened exactly this way before, but THIS TIME, I realize the lesson that was to be learned, and there is a sense of closure and completion. Can you tell I love Larimar? ~*~ grin ~*~
I have no medical evidence to substantiate the correlation between wearing this stone and the effects it will have on the wearer. The mystical healing properties offered above were partially paraphrased from one of a series of Melody's books in the LOVE IS IN THE EARTH series. Melody suggests that the metaphysical properties listed for each stone will have these effects on the wearer WHILE he/she concentrates on the desired outcome. The author further states that this is NOT a substitute for consulting your physician; and I agree. When I wear any of my stones or crystals, I feel empowered by them. Maybe it's just because I WEAR them with specific intentions -- it works because I told my mind it would, OR does it work because of the molecular interaction between my body and the stones/crystals? I don't know. All I know is it seems to work FOR ME.
